Description
With the R7150 series, SHIMANO is also giving the 105 groupset its 12th gear. gear as well as integration into the electronic Di2 system raising its best-selling road bike groupset to the next level for its 40th anniversary. Electronic shifting thus finally reaches the masses, as do the advantages of the wide 12-speed cassette. With the 105 ST-R7170 brake/shift lever combination, SHIMANO not only supports the new 12-speed drivetrains, but also cuts the cable connection to the rear derailleur and front derailleur, as it did with the Dura Ace 9250 and Ultegra 8150. An integrated radio transmitter, powered by two CR1632 button cells, sends the shifting commands wirelessly to the rear derailleur as the master unit, which in turn forwards them to the front derailleur.
